The use of this style of rangefinder in the development of the modern camera. Originally developed for use in combat, the coincidence rangefinder can be scaled down, from the largest 15 meter length tubes used on naval warships, to the smaller 2.5” size that would conveniently work on the top of a 35mm camera. I will bring in several small add-on camera rangefinders and go over their use with film cameras.
